Overview
What happens when the owner of a small family company in the French Alps wants to retire, but cannot find a successor to continue the activity? Is this niche business condemned to disappear… or can it be taken over by a foreign investor looking for new locations? Every year in Europe, around 150 000 companies are not being transferred due to system inefficiencies, threatening 600 000 jobs. C-TEMAlp rose to the challenge of making business transfers in the Alpine Space more effective. It fostered business renewal by bringing together actors from different regions to research, test and jointly define new business transfer services.

ToolFind out more on how to use the C-TEMAlp platform for SME business transfers.C-TEMAlp platform is meant as a tool for SME business transfers in the project area to foster the matching among buyers and sellers at transnational level. The BT platform not only facilitates the transnational matching but it is also useful to provide support services for companies and to strengthen the innovation potential of established SMEs. This Business Transfer platform is a meeting place for all parties concerned in business transfers and offers entrepreneurs specific services and a network of support organizations. -
C-TEMAlp MOU and network strategy
StrategyThe network strategy and memorandum of understanding (MOU) assure the sustainability of the C-TEMAlp network and the durability of the achieved results.To assure the sustainability of the C-TEMAlp network and the durability of the achieved results, the network strategy has been defined and the network organisations committed themselves through a MOU to extend their cooperation with the C-TEMAlp methodology for at least three years after the project end. -
