Overview
Traditional small companies often find it hard to open new development paths. Alpine business support organisations cannot always help such organisation sufficiently, as they lack experience and established channels, both needed for successful consulting. BE-READI ALPS, therefore, enhanced the innovative and digital setting of the Alpine space by designing and testing initiatives to develop an Alpine living lab that stimulates traditional SMEs to discover innovative development paths. The project assisted companies in spotting innovation opportunities, defining a strategy, adopting the needed digital tools, finding suitable partners across the Alps and accessing new funding options like crowdfunding.

BE-READI Points Toolkit
ToolBE-READI Points Toolkit allows every Point to support companies with a comprehensive, modern and transnational approach overcoming the fragmentation of the current AS innovation ecosystem. It provedes Business Support Organisations with useful tools to support SMEs.This publication is addressed to Business Support Organisations, which have direct contact with SMEs on the territory that want to respond to actual needs in terms of relaunching their businesses. In fact, the BE-READI Project created a transnational BE-READI Point Network that supports and gives guidelines to companies on the launch of their Second Life Project ideas on the market. Within this framework, the partners and the new organisations that joined the network have developed better supporting services, collected and adapted tools and resources, and documented the experience of their BE-READI Journey assessment phases with companies. For each step of the Journey, a description of the activities is provided, reporting how and why the BE-READI Points addressed the issues, from the starting point to the final achievement, with feedback on the performance and the results. Some recommendations for new organisations are also provided. -

The Network has been integrated into the regional business and innovation support infrastructure, in order to cooperate efficiently with all relevant regional stakeholders, service providers and other European Networks. The document describes the working mode, the accreditation procedure and the Points members of the network. -
Strategic Roadmap for AS Competitiveness
StrategySet of proposals to be implemented at a macroregional level gathered during the discussions with decision makers and stakeholders in the frame of the BE-READI Open Tables.During the project the main topics emerged in the BE-READI ALP pilot activity were translated into the format of »Policy Dialogue« that were launched throughout the project life to deepen the topic of funding, digitalization, green transition, and Alpine Space cooperation. In policy dialogue were involved stakeholders representing the quadruple helix (businesses, research, policy makers and society) trying to also mix representatives at regional, national and European level. The outcomes of these discussions are included in the BE-READI ALPS Whitepaper (enclosed as Annex) and condensed in the BE-READI Alps Strategic Roadmap for Alpine Space competitiveness as a set of proposals that the Alpine Space stakeholders are asked to translate in policy actions.
