Alps4GreenC presented at Re-Think Circular Economy Forum

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Štajerska and Unibz presented Alps4GreenC project at the Re-think Circular Economy Forum in Taranto, Italy. Taranto is one of the most polluted cities in Europe due to the heavy industry that was operating in the city in the past. Therefore, biochar appears to be a relevant material for the revitalisation of brownfields. Besides that, there is an abundance of biomass waste from agriculture, which is a very important sector in the South of Italy.

The project partners presented the aim and activities of the project as well as their expertise in a panel titled »Potentials of biomass waste valorization for the transition to low carbon circular economy”. The panel was moderated Francesco Castellano, CEO and Founder of Tondo, the main organizer of the event.
