Regional, networked, successful: More than 80 stakeholders came together at the third GastroRegioTag on November 8 at the Natur- und Wohlfühlhotel Brunner Hof in Arnschwang (Germany). Anja Beckord and Stephanie Lizak from Umweltcluster Bayern presented the “CEFoodCycle” project at the speed dating session.
CEFoodCycle has set itself the goal of minimizing food waste, particularly in the upstream B2B stages. By using AI methods, intensive networking in the region and closing loops, a reduction of around 4 million tons of waste could be achieved in Germany.
The networking event not only offered the opportunity to share experiences, but also presented a mix of practical presentations and best practices. Experts such as Christopher Spall (Spall.macht.Marke), Dr. Pablo Neder (The Ringsight), Jürgen Roßkopf (Hofläden Gustenfelden) and Melanie Ebner (Ebners Catering) shed light on topics such as branding, direct marketing and regional cooperation. The Natur- & Wellnesshotel Brunner Hof, presented by owner Andreas Brunner, served as an example of best practice.
