On 19th of July 2023, Eurac Research organized the first ADAPTNOW local stakeholder workshop in collaboration with Regional Management LAG Pustertal and Comunità Comprensoriale Valle Pusteria. The workshop took place in Brunico/Bruneck to discuss how to strengthen the adaptive capacity to climate change within the tourism and forest management sectors in Pusteria Valley.
Around 40 participants joined the workshop at the NOI Techpark Brunico, amongst which representative from different Offices of the Province of Bolzano, IDM, the local Tourism, Hoteliers, Farmers and Forest Associations, some Municipalities, together with INEWA and Ökoinstitut.
The activities focused on the analysis of climate-related risks and possible adaptation measures in the Pusteria Valley, as well as the needs and tools that should be reflected in these adaptation efforts.
The lively discussion within the group works has been extremely important both for the positive outcome of future project activities and for the process of SECAPs development at local level.
From Eurac Research, a big thank you to Regional Management LAG Pustertal, Comunità Comprensoriale Valle Pusteria and the participants of this wonderful discussion.
